Come join us at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum, 507 Mulberry Street, North Judson, Indiana for North Judson Celebrate Trails Day 2023 on April 22.  Times shown are Central Daylight Savings ("Chicago") time.  Attendance is free.  Hope to see you then!

 

9:30 am    Opening remarks by Rails to Trails Conservancy, Town of North Judson, LaPorte County Council, Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum and Prairie Trails Club.

 

9:30 am until 2:00 pm  Self-Guided Tour of the OSSIS Project Scavenger Hunt for Planetary Facts, either: 

Walk the Erie Trail from Mercury to Venus, Earth, Mars (round trip one mile) OR, Bike the Erie Trail from Mercury to Neptune (round trip 18 miles) OSSIS fact-sheet will guide the Scavenger Hunt with small prizes to participants.

11:00 am  Ride on historic train to Indiana Highway 10 where Railroad and Trail share a corridor and to the Kankakee River where future trail extension is planned.

 

12:00 noon  Free hotdogs and other food and drinks available.

 

12:15 pm  Kids short color run.

 

Live music by duo "Return to Normal”.

 

Booths of regional and national trails with information and bling.
