Hoosier Valley Rail Museum

The North Judson Erie Trail is located on a former rail line, and rail buffs will find the trail rich in railroading heritage.  The Hoosier Valley Rail Museum, located at the western end of the trail in North Judson, has an extensive collection of locomotives, classic rail cars, a depot and gift shop.  The museum is situated near the former junction of the Erie, PRR, C&O and NYC railroads.  Train rides are available every Saturday May through October, and special events occur through the year.

The trail contains markers and other evidence of its days as a rail corridor.

The first mile of the trail is a shared rails with trail corridor from Main St. to Hwy 10 & CR 250W. Only the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum operates a train on this section, at very low speeds, often delivering children to a trail head at Hwy 10 for special events at Easter and Halloween.
